Internet Flaming

"YOU ROCK"

submission: Internet Flaming
date: July 26, 2005

This is the first Finger 11 I've seen (heard) in an NG movie. You have the best music taste ever (except everyone else who likes them). If you haven't already you should buy their 1st album under the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys, it's the best thing they've done.

As for the rest of the movie, pretty good graphics, and I like your message, but it was a bit short.

Author's Response:

Thank you and yes finger 11 rock.

Interactive Comic Ep. 1

"Great idea!!!!"

date: July 24, 2005

I love that idea!!! Please make more, or I'll steal it ;)

Trouble here was that there weren't enough instructions. At first I put names instead of text. Also it wasn't very long. But graphically it was great. Pleeease make more!!

Author's Response:

Don't worry, I'll make more, and they'll be longer and more interactive. This one was sort of a test for myself to see if I could pull off such an open-ended format and have people actually enjoy it. Thanks for the compliments!

Blackball Episode 1

"Excellent!"

date: July 21, 2005

That was really funny, the most enjoyable movie since Tomorrows Nobodies 3. I even had Offspring in it, perfection ;)

Just wish it had been a bit longer.

ant attack

"Disappointing"

submission: ant attack
date: July 21, 2005

It was pretty well made, good concept, good graphics and fun to play.

But just as I was getting into it it was over, there was so much more you could have added. The next levels could have 'good ants' or something, and your score drops by one if you hit them.

Also I thought the sound was a bit poor, there wasn't even a spray noise. Other than that it was well made, nice try.

DeleteGG01!

"not too bad"

submission: DeleteGG01!
date: July 20, 2005

There was some good code in there, not completely beginner level stuff. And the graphics weren't too bad, and the sound was fine.

But it didn't have much appeal to play, things didn't run very smoothly and it all just seemed a bit pointless. You're going places though, good luck.

Author's Response:

heh, this is just my alt. I've already gone places check my site.

Sonic Boom Town

"Quality game"

submission: Sonic Boom Town
date: July 19, 2005

The quality was excellent, the graphics were among the best I've seen and it all ran pretty smoothly too.

Loved the concept, it was a timed maze game at heart, but with a few cool features thrown in too.

The only thing that let it down for me was that it wasn't very big, there should have been loads more missions. But I enjoyed what was there a lot, very good work.

"argh! preloaderbroken !!"

This is an amazing game, but your preloader doesn't work!!! I had to right click, play.

Fix it, wait a few days, then resubmit.

RaidenX

"Standard shooter?"

submission: RaidenX
date: July 17, 2005

I've been voting on this game daily for weeks, so I thought it time to add a review.

It's fantastic. The pure scale of the enemies, the speed of play, the amazing effects + so much more.

But...I still class this game as a Standard Shooter. You have a ship, you shoot stuff, collect power ups. Although every aspect of the game is created perfectly with loads of effort, there's still nothing here that strikes me as original.

So is it deserved of 1st place? Maybe. It's got all the instant enjoyment factor to get a top score. I just feel that no.1 should be something really special, and this doesn't blow me away.

Author's Response:

The main reason I think why the score is high is because there are three difficulty levels, plenty of length to the game, and the save feature, so addicted players come back often and perhaps give me another 4 or 5. :) Next time I'll add a high-scoring system to hook back even more players, but meanwhile, thanks for reviewing!

Whack the computer

"pretty simple"

submission: Whack the computer
date: July 17, 2005

I'd be lying if I said that wasn't just a bit fun. I bet loads of people feel like trashing their PC sometimes.

But there wasn't really much point here, there was no game element as it was impossible to lose. It's good that you added comments for humour value, and they were pretty funny. Maybe you could add more methods of destruction?

Also you should improve the SFX, they were OK here, but some really destructive sounds could make a big difference.

Fireball Launcher

"Needs more"

submission: Fireball Launcher
date: July 17, 2005

The physics here are excellent, and so are the 3d graphics. It can be fun for a couple of minutes but then gets very boring, its not hard to shoot at full power and 45 degrees.

This game really needs a lot more added to it, maybe some kind of targets to hit? It'd be great if you could angle your shot left and right, I imagine that would be very hard to make though.

Author's Response:

The physics aren't that great. They're exactly the same as the ones I used for the arc of the arrows in Invasion 4: The Last Crusade (Namzorg of Stick Slaughter made that script for me) - all I did was change the x value to a z value and adapt the values being passed to it for the new engine.

I guess I could add targets, or hoops to shoot it through... but this was just a little experiment, not a full game (as you've probably guessed). I used one of the 3D tutorials from Kirupa.com, and the script I used is very flexible - adding left and right shot angles would be extremely simple. The script would be almost exactly the same as the one used for angling the shot's arc, with just a couple of variable names swapped over.
