Great little game

I can give you a nice review now I know that your work is genuine :)

I really liked this game, it was great in it's simplicity. The graphics were perfect, I love your style. I think this wouldn't be as fun if you added much more to it like powerups, but there are some possible improvements. Maybe it could get faster over time? Otherwise it's possible to go on for ever which is something to avoid in a game.

The SFX are quite nice, but I think a bit more music would work well here. I know it would add to the file size, but something light could keep this under 500kb. I just think it would help the overall experience.

Other than those small things this is very good, perfect NG material, hope it gets Front Page! Keep submitting stuff ;)

maybe you didn't notice that, but it gets faster over time, enemies are speeding up every second - its a quite slow progress, you can hardly notice that, but they are speeding up. It's impossible to go on forever.
More music - I'll keep that in my mind when creating new games, however all the stuff I'm posting here was already done months ago, and if I'd start improving them right now I wouldn't have time to create new stuff - such as submachine2, which as I know a lot of people are waiting for impatiently. ;)

Enjoying this a lot! Graphics are good enough, some nice SFX, and these games are quite uncommon on NG (probably cause they score low compared to therir production time). Good work.

But I'm stuck and I'd appreciate help from anyone (not closing the Flash until I get it!). I've put the 2 screws in the bottom of the clock and I have that morse code note. But what now? Someone said about a key hidden in the book, more detail please?

This would be better if there was a walkthrough, you started with a score of 100 and lost 10 points for every time you looked at it. I'd get 90! Nice work.

Excellent

Metaphysik was one of the first NG games I played. This was a great improvement and should get a lot of awards.

The new features were great, loved how you could smash stuff up. Graphically it was much better.

Sound was good but I knocked 2 off cause I couldnt find how to turn it off. Pause menu? What pause menu?

I knocked 1 of Interactivity because on level 8 I went through the wall and had to restart. Bugs aren't good!

But other than those minor complaints, this is a fanstastic game, very good work and good luck with it.

Room for improvement

It looked incredible, top 5% of the games submitted. The engine was perfect, I found very few bugs. It was fun and satisfying to slice up enemies.

But the problems for me lie in the gameplay itself. Kill stuff, pull lever, kill stuff, pull lever etc etc. Very little variation. And to make it worse, there was no need to fight, after I got bored killing I just ran through them all.

This would be a lot better with multiple weapons. Mace, Throwing Stars, Bigger sword, Numchucks etc. Some sort of special move system might be cool too.

So well done for this, it's very good, but you have a way to go yet.

Good, not great

It was a good game, excellent graphics, style and sound with some awesome moves. But there are too many problems for me to give this 10:

-The controls are unresponsive, often I'd press jump and nothing would happen.
-Some of the attack animations are so long that I'd get hit whilst carrying them out.
-The main characters(s) look to similar to the enemies. I couldn't keep track.

Really nice work though, keep it up!

Nice idea, but needs some fixes

I liked this on the whole Pong is a dull dull game but adding more balls made it pretty fun, plus the power ups were a nice touch. It was all presented well with the simple but stylish black/white graphics.

But the thing that let this down was the engine itself. I lost just because it kept freezing, and the balls got stuck if they hit the side of the paddle.

It's a good effort, but you need to fix a few things in your code. And add some more levels n stuff (with things like walls in the middle).

Some good points

You tried here which I appreciate but it didn't really work. The controls were terrible, I was just flying all over the place with no control over the plane. It annoyed me that there was no obvious replay option, I just had to refresh the page every time. Sound is needed badly.

But it looked decent and with a few tweaks to the gameplay it could be fast and fun. Keep trying ;)
