Nice!

That game was frickin awesome, I spent 20 minutes tryin to wipe the board in one sweep, finally did it and got the 20k bonus :) This'll make one hell of a minigame.

Real nice piece of work.

I gotta say this is my favourite Game of Gondor that I've played so far. It ran beautifully, the graphics were crisp and colourful, it was fast and fun to play, and the SFX and music were good n all. The biggest drawback for me was the range of moves- jump, slash, jump, slash- being a wizard there could have been some really cool specials (I didn't get very far so sorry if these do come in later on). But that didn't detract from this being a fun and stylish little game.

Amazing opening

The game itself was pretty standard, other than the nice starry background there was nothing that stood out much. Where this really shines is the opening sequence. The bit where the planet blows up, that was cool. Maybe you could have a go at a movie instead of a game.

Pretty good

Nice little game you've got there, I enjoyed it a lot. Script was witty, funny and well thought out. Graphically it was really good at times but tacky at others, at least you put a lot of effort in. Would have been much better if you could skip dialogue. Also there was no sound. And I couldn't find kitty!

You HAVE to do a sequel. You could keep a lot of the graphics so it wouldn't take too long. Just add a load more to do and an aim with pickups and stuff. You could go for Pico-esque action, but I'd stick with Monkey Island style adventuring. Obviously you should add sound. And Kitty! Maybe she could be the main character...

Nice work ;)

Top quality shooter

Preloader didn't work (right click play required). You say there's music but I couldn't hear any. That's all the bad out the way- everything else was excellent.

Firstly there's the graphics- backgrounds are standard enough but the enemies were really good, you'd got the physics perfect. Controls worked very well. Difficulty level was just about right (I couldn't get past l3 but I do suck a bit). I guess there weren't that many levels but each was pretty big and very well designed. Loved the way you could explore each area after completion. And unlike so many shooters this wasn't just about the mindless shooting, there were loads of really cool puzzles and stuff to vary it up. Overall this is a BRILLIANT game which beams of effort and I hope your future work is just as good.

Buggy but funn

There were a lot of bugs in that game- I kept getting stuck in all kinds of ways. The only way to get out was to use the Play option which shouldn't have been left in anyway. Add a 'quit' button and it'd make the world of difference.

Also I thought the low level of interactivity was just frustrating. I would have liked to see some kind of nudge button.

Final critism is the lack of music...a few light-hearted background tunes wouldn't have gone amiss.

But full marks for the idea, and graphically I thought this was excellent (especially the nutty animations in between levels). Hoping to see The Return of Nutty Mcntus soon.

Nice platformer

Pretty standard platformer- dodge enemies, collect coins, reach the exits. Some of the levels were fiendishly hard, not because of clever design, but poor controls/collision detection. For example there was one near the end where a mace kept killing me even though I was nowehere near it. The 'play' option had been left in, which would usually be a bad thing, but here was a lifesaver. Even still I would have killed the right click menu and instead had a 'skip level' option which subtracted points. The ending was disapointing, I was expecting more of a reward for doing well rather than 'that's a lot of money'. Graphics were good on the whole, nothing too flashy, but I don't think that would have been necessary. Liked the choice of music and sound effects. Overall this is a nice little first game which beams of effort, I hope you make some more.

Nice for a quick game

Got boring pretty quickly, could have done with a few more things going on to liven it up. But overall it was a very well made game. The puzzle itself was original (to my knowledge) and the castle theme added a fun touch to it. There's a lot of games like this being submitted at the moment and if they stay at this quality I'm certainly not complaining.

Thanks! Yeah, sorry bout that... one thing i lack is "creativeness." I wanted to add some other things but I didn't want to get the "What has that got to do with the game?" thing.
If you have suggestions on how we could to make it better, let me know.

Not so great

It was ok, but..

-I've got nothing against linkin park- there's a million worse bands
-People will play this if they hate LP...so now they have to listen to their music yet again. Not clever.
-There was only 1 torture method
-Very little gore
-Most people would go 5 straight away and this'd be over in seconds.

If you really hate LP, go ahead and try to make this better, but put a lot more effort in next time.

Jipper responds:

Most people go straight to 5? Then my son, you miss the whole point! You go from 1 to 3 to 2 to 4 then back to 3... Have you no sense of adventure? Christ.

Just what I always wanted

I'll probably play this game more than any other, it's great. The engine must have taken ages to create. I probably wouldnt want sound but I think there should be an option for it anyway- just simple sounds and soft music. Could be more customizable- the pieces and board. Also there should be an option for cool death effects. But who needs any of that fancy stuff, it was good just as it was.
