Still great, but not great

I've reviewed this in terms of improvement from the last one, so I had to knock off one mark.

Everything I said before still applies, it's a really nice little platformer. And it was an improvement, the background music helped, but I think an 'off' button would be good too. The boss was a good addition, but played just like the other levels in most ways.

Also, you need to customize the right click menu, I could just click 'play' and skip levels.

I think this is more of a Blob Man 1.5. So I'm still lookig forwards to a proper sequel with major improvements.

Mixed bag

I mixed bag for sure. Firstly the graphics, mostly good especially on the guy himself, but the enemies were poor and clearly imported, plus the bullet things looked bad.

The game was a decent idea, a kind of Hulk rip-off though. I found it much too slow, by level 3 I was bored. And I couldn't seem to die. There weren't many moves either, pretty dull just clinging to buildings and whacking ctrl. And why couldn't he just wreck the enemies?

There's certainly room for a great game here, maybe even a classic. You should definitely put more work into it, I'm working on a game that I've contstantly wanted to give up on but I know it'll be worth it in the end. Don't let this go to waste.

Incredible

I love all your work, and whereas I might not have enjoyed this quite as much as some of your others, I certainly feel that it was the most impressive. That's mostly due to the graphics, probably as good as they come, and the sheer speed of the game is unbelievable.

The way you made it just like an arcade game was inspriring, added a great feel to the game. It was varied and fun, definitely one of my top 10 NG games. But like I said I have enjoyed your previous work more, mostly just because of personal preference, but here's what let it down for me:

-The sound might have helped the effect of the game, but I found it annoying and not pleasant to listen to.
-I'm going to suck at explaining this one but here goes: when you click fire you cause damage to wherever you click. Now I found it frustrating because the bullets should carry on past this point and cause damage to anything in the path. Maybe they were moving too fast for me to make out but I couldn't even see any bullets. This was a big let down for me.
-Why EASD not WASD?

Other than that, I just missed the humour value of some of your other games. But that's just personal preference.

You're the only artist in my favourite's list for good reason, and this game only went to secure that place. But I'm hoping that you don't go on to make a sequel to this.

Really good

This is very similar to the game I just made (and the sequel I'm working on). And to be honest I see no reason why it's scored lower.

I love the graphics, they're clean and colourful. The SFX were excellent and added some humour value, although a bit of backgroud music would have been nice.

The main problem for me was that the monkey moved a little too slow, and I levelled up quite a bit but he didn't seem to get significantly faster. Also you could add a bit of perspective to the background and add some more fruit like bananas (just for variation).

It's a really well made game though, well done.

dodecagon responds:

He wasn't supposed to get faster, but he does now! Thanks for the suggestion :) Weird how you couldn't hear the background music, there were three tracks in all.

Nice

I'm not a big clock fan but this was impressive and quite fun to play. It's good that you made it random. Some suggestions:

-Choose of grid size
-Varying back picture
-Optional Music
-Faint image on the back of the cards
-SFX
-Timer so people can try and beat their best times.

Decent submission, but could be a lot better.

Nice!

I'm worth $35 :D

Pretty pointless game but fun none the less. Shame there was nothing after receiving your score, maybe it give a comment could show other users with similar scores.

This is proof that good drawing or coding skills aren't needed to make a succesful submission- just a great idea.

Great idea!!!!

I love that idea!!! Please make more, or I'll steal it ;)

Trouble here was that there weren't enough instructions. At first I put names instead of text. Also it wasn't very long. But graphically it was great. Pleeease make more!!

BlueEyeZombie responds:

Don't worry, I'll make more, and they'll be longer and more interactive. This one was sort of a test for myself to see if I could pull off such an open-ended format and have people actually enjoy it. Thanks for the compliments!

Disappointing

It was pretty well made, good concept, good graphics and fun to play.

But just as I was getting into it it was over, there was so much more you could have added. The next levels could have 'good ants' or something, and your score drops by one if you hit them.

Also I thought the sound was a bit poor, there wasn't even a spray noise. Other than that it was well made, nice try.

Quality game

The quality was excellent, the graphics were among the best I've seen and it all ran pretty smoothly too.

Loved the concept, it was a timed maze game at heart, but with a few cool features thrown in too.

The only thing that let it down for me was that it wasn't very big, there should have been loads more missions. But I enjoyed what was there a lot, very good work.

argh! preloaderbroken !!

This is an amazing game, but your preloader doesn't work!!! I had to right click, play.

Fix it, wait a few days, then resubmit.
