Great 3D

I've seen a few 3d Flash games (even had a go at making one, sort of) but this acheived the effect better than most. I wouldn't have a clue where to start making something like this.

Graphically it was exellent, the level of detail on the cars and tracks was incredible. The sound wasn't too exciting but it did the job.

The game itself is fun, but doesn't control very well. I think it'd be better if it didn't try to be realistic but went for a Micro Machines style, then the slippy controls wouldn't matter so much.

Just two tracks is a let down of the game. I don't know how long a track takes to make, but if its a long time then you should try and make a faster level editor so you can quickly create a large selection of tracks. A more varied choice of cars would be nice too.

I'd highly recommend this to anyone for a quick play, but it doesn't have enough to make me want to come back for more, and that's what lets it down. But this gets a 5/5 on style alone. Nice work.

Not bad

Not bad, it was more than just a standard dress up. I liked the item selector, instead of just drag and drop it duplicated the items. The colour filler worked well.

The graphics could be improved quite a bit. Just keep practicing and you'll get better over time. Try and avoid filling with gradient colour, it rarely looks good, you need to learn to shade manually.

This would be much better if you could do something with your robot after creating it. If this was like a Robot Wars game it'd be awesome. Maybe you can't script someting that complex, but your cloud game shows you can make a decent enough game. Maybe you could do something like R!SE (search NG for it, its a game that lets you build a monster then make it jump).

Pretty good try, hope it survives. 3/5.

Great game, not refined enough

I was a big fan of the first. I love games like this, Broken Sword is one of my favourites. My rating of 9 might seem high but I'm disappointed I can't stretch to a 10.

The first thing that lets this down is the bugs. I read in a comment reply that this went through a beta testing stage, but it can't have been nearly enough. I wont list all the bugs, they've all been mentioned already. But there must be at least 10 major ones, and a lot more besides.

I don't really see this as an improvement on the first one. Even the graphics, whilst there are some nice new touches, seem a bit patchier than before. But still very good and better than most submissions.

I'll get off the bad points now because I don't want this too seem like a negative review, I still really liked this game. I played it till the end which is longer than I'd play most games. The story is well written and gives the impression of deepness - I could happily play this through again to fully grasp the story.

The puzzles were usually pretty straight forwards, but there were a few that required a bit of thought. I liked the jigsaw game, that was a nice touch.

I've seem a lot of people complain about the voices but I thought they were very good. It sounded like everybody was different - if they were all different actors then that's impressive, and if it was a few actors pulling off different voices, that shows talent.

I hope you make the next part, it sounds like it might be linked in with this one which'd be cool (maybe you could link witht he 1st one too in Broken Sword 3 style). My main suggestion would be to test it more, I reckon this could've been much more succesful with a couple more weeks refining it. Still, great game, look forwards to pt.3! 5/5.

Scored 1691

Nowhere near as fun and addicitve as the likes of Kitty Canon, but still a pretty fun way to waste a few minutes. I got 1691.

The concept, stone skimming, is pretty dull. Throwing small animals would be more entertaining. But that's just my opinion.

I think the main problem with this is that it's too simple. You just time two button presses then wait. Maybe if you could do something whilst the object is bouncing it would be more fun.

But not bad, 4/5.

Classic

It's always exciting finding a game like this under judgement. This'll get front page for sure. Very original concept (well it was a bit like that Destroy All Humans, but original for Newgrounds), very fun to play, awesome graphics - 10/10.

Awesome Monkey Island style gaming

The Big Whoop joke was great, as were all the MI references. Games like this help break up the neverending wait till Monkey Island 5.

Wont go repeating all the good stuff people have said about this, it's Flash at its best. Replay button didnt work properly as some people have said. Also, a cookie saving might have been good, pretty long game for one sitting. And music controls.

If you do a sequel you should do it a bit less linear. Here there was usually just one aim at any time, occasionally 2. I like the style in Monkey Island 2 where there were 4 map pieces to collect, each separate missions that coincide. Collecting the Ultimate Insult in 4 was similar. They did it a few times, it works well in games like this.

This is totally deserved of the high score. Nice work ;)

Amazing remake

Wow I expected this to be a crappy spoof of ther original, but it was much much better. The way the walls changed to give it a 3D effect, I've not seen that before, very impressive. It took everything outdated in the original and brought it bang up to date. This could be one of the prize winners. 10/10

*nice*

Don't know why I'm even writing this, you're probably dead by now. But anyway, I liked this game, it was simple and the graphics weren't great but it was an interesting concept that was pretty fun to play. You could probably create some pretty decent games with the newfangled technology we have nowadays.

Good game

I've been looking forwards to this since the alpha. There's something very stylish and fun about it. Runs very smoothly, has a nice range of weapons and I love the slow motion. In all, a very good game.

But I do have a few suggestions for if you were to make a sequel:

-A cookie saving system so when you reload the game it remembers your last checkpoint.
-A HP bar would help imo.
-Enemies shouldn't be able to see you when they are not facing you unless you fire. This would make the game more stealthy and original (for Flash, obviously stealth has been done to death on consoles).
-I like the style, but the graphics could be improved. You could make it like a real location (military base?) with scenery like boxes and tanks.
-Although you had a lot of weapons, there wasn't a huge amount of variation. Some grenades might be cool, or if you went with my stealth suggestion you could have a knife so you can sneak up on the enemy and slit his throat.

A great game for a start, but I see a lot of potential for a classic. Nice work.

Nice idea

I like the idea here, it was quite fun to play. But the the graphics were very weak, you really need to put more time into them to gte a decent score. The gameplay could do with a bit more variation, and towards the end it became impossible to keep away from the zapper. But overall, not too bad.

Fion responds:

Yeah now that I've seen that people actually like it I'm thinking I might have a go at making a better more improved one, after all this is quite old.
